BIARRITZ -- French TV journos Luc Hermann and Paul Moreira have released the ecu Network of Investigative Journalists with Italian, German and British news agencies. Hermann and Moreira are in the helm of Premieres Lignes, a Paris-based press agency that is an expert in difficult-boiled, one-hour investigative documentaries. Premieres Lignes has partnered using the Bureau of Investigative Journalism working in london, Invisible Dog in Italia and Filmtank in Berlin to create "large-scale research analyzing worldwide problems that are targeted at global audiences," stated Hermann at TVFI Rendez-Vous in Biarritz, France. The Gallic company will professional produce and also have the final cut about the docus. Hermann described he and Moreira had the thought of creating this European org after the prosperity of "WikiLeaks: War, Lies and Videotape," which offered to each major areas, such as the U.S. (Current TV), Discovery Funnel U.K., Discovery Europe and Africa, ABC around australia and NDR in Germany. Good investigative documentaries have a very very long time and require large assets: This is exactly why you want to use local people who be aware of codes and also have the connections," stated Hermann, who added he's searching to create thought-invoking and engaging documentaries within the vein of PBS' "Frontline." In France They shingle has worked with using the Bureau of Investigative Journalism and Invisible Dog to create "Euroscroqueries" (working title), a documentary helmed by Pierre-Emmanuel Luneau-Dorignac that examines the distribution of European funds and subsidies. Docu continues to be pre-bought by France 2 and it is repped by Arte in worldwide marketplaces. Premieres Lignes is creating "Your Day China Will Relocate in Europe," an analysis considering Chinese opportunities in Europe, with Invisible Dog. Docu continues to be commissioned by Franco-German internet Arte, which handles worldwide pre-sales and purchasers about the program. It will likely be shipped in spring 2012.
